Better Late Than Never!

Opening Night

I have been meaning to blog for the past two weeks but, with the start of the new school year, I have been struggling to find the time.  I was contacted about two months ago by an interior designer named Heidi Mendoza regarding the interior decoration of one of the first LEED Platinum homes in Denver. The Green Cube is located in the lower highlands area of Denver and Governor Hickenlooper issued a proclamation in which he stated, “Colorado’s culture of sustainability and conservation are part of its DNA and this project illustrates how community businesses can be leaders in developing affordable green and sustainable homes.”  The Green Cube is also included in the parade of homes and it is projected that 3,000-5,000 people will walk through the home in the first month.  I jumped at the opportunity to participate in such a cool event!  I met with Heidi and she selected eleven paintings she wanted to use for the home.

I attended the opening on August 11th and will take my work down at the end of this month.
