This is the second painting in which I used the intriguing orange color I wrote about in my Reflection XXIV post. Reflection XXV is not as vibrantly colored as the last painting, but I explored a few new options. While I have printed the negative space of the mesh in the past, I had never printed the positive until now. I also decided to tear one of my painted paper strips after the paint was dry, exposing the layers of raw paper. I like how the striations add another dimension. As if that was not enough experimentation, I also decided to separate the torn handmade paper in a new way. I plan to keep exploring my options!
