Reflection XVI

Reflection XVI

I continue to experiment with composition in my Reflection paintings.  This work is similar to the last painting in the series, Reflection XV.  The major difference between the two is that I included the mesh print as well the actual mesh in Reflection XVI.  The mesh print can be found on the purple section of this painting and I laid the actual mesh beside the red-orange paper strip.

I decided to work with a more radical color scheme.  The red-orange strip creates such contrast that it makes me feel a bit uncomfortable but also excited.  I have to keep pushing my boundaries!  I would recommend clicking on the image of the painting above to make it larger and explore the details.
