Impression XIII

Impression XIII

I have changed this composition a bit from the other paintings in the Impression Series.  As one might have guessed, I enjoy working with multiples of shapes.  In the past, the shape repetition in the Impression Series occurred by laying one transparent square on top of another.  Impression XIII is different because the shapes are laid next to one another, much like my other series of Transient paintings.  Click this link to view and compare the similarities in shape repetition and composition between Transient VII and Impression XIII .  Alike in shape and composition, however, Impression XIII maintains an independent voice.
